Best Art Program for Creative Thinking and Imagination!

NYSA Spring Camps focus on exploring each student’s imagination. Students will create and express their ideas through an art piece while building on their existing art skills. Throughout the camp, all students will learn a variety of fun fine arts subjects, craft, sculpture, collage, mix media, and so on.

Tuition & Fees

Attendance and Make-up Policy

Camp Make-ups: No make-up sessions are available for any camps, including Day Camps, Spring Camps, Summer Camps, and Winter Camps.
Weather-related Cancellations: Classes may be canceled due to inclement weather conditions. Make-up sessions will not be provided for weather-related cancellations.
Absences: Missed sessions cannot be credited, refunded, or carried over to future sessions or camps.

Cancellation / Refund Policies

60 Days or More Before Camp Start Date: Cancellations made at least 60 days before the start of the camp will incur a $30 cancellation fee per week of the camp. The remaining balance will be refunded in full (100%).
30 to 59 Days Before Camp Start Date: Cancellations made 30 to 59 days before the camp start date will incur a $60 cancellation fee per week of the camp. The remaining balance will be refunded in full (100%).
Less Than 30 Days Before Camp Start Date: No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than 30 days before the camp start date, regardless of the circumstances. No transfers are allowed under these circumstances.
Cancellation Requests: To request a cancellation, please contact our Enrollment Department at enrollment@nyschoolarts.com.
Transfers are not available for Spring Camps.

Early Discount 10%: 1/1/2024 -1/31/2024
Sibling/Multi-Class Discount: 5%

Discounts Policy

General Discount Terms: All discounts apply exclusively to camp tuition and do not cover material fees.
Sibling/Multi-Camp Discount: If two or more siblings are enrolled simultaneously in the same camp, each sibling will receive a 5% discount on camp tuition. This discount does not apply to Extended Care or material fees.
Discount Combinations: Discounts cannot be combined. If you qualify for multiple discounts, the higher discount rate will be applied.

Registration and Tuition Policy

Payment Options: Tuition payments can be made via ACH (Electronic Check) or credit card. No transaction fees apply to ACH payments. A 3.5% transaction fee applies to all credit card payments.
Early Registration: Early registration is strongly recommended to secure your preferred spot and take advantage of early registration discount benefits. Registration is complete, and your class spot is reserved upon receipt of payment.
Spring/Summer Camp Registration: Weekly registrations are available for Spring/Summer Camps. NYSA does not offer daily camp options for Spring/Summer Camps, except for Day Camps.
Sibling/Friend Pairing Requests: Pairing requests for siblings or friends must be submitted to NYSA via email at info@nyschoolarts.com immediately after registration. NYSA can only accommodate pairing requests if notice is provided in advance.

Student Drop-Off and Pick-Up Policy

Timely Drop-Off and Pick-Up: Parents/guardians must ensure children are dropped off and picked up on time. Early drop-offs and late pick-ups are not permitted. If extended care is needed, please register for Extended Care (AM) and/or Extended Care (PM).
Late Pick-Up Fees: A fee of $5 per 10 minutes will be charged for late pick-ups after the camp's designated end time.
Drop-Off and Pick-Up Times:
Regular Camp: Drop-off: 8:50 AM - 9:00 AM, Pick-up: 3:15 PM - 3:30 PM
Extended Care: AM Drop-off: 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM, PM Pick-up: 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM
Flexible Timing: You may drop off or pick up your child at any time within the designated periods for regular camp or extended care. No fee adjustments are made based on the specific drop-off or pick-up time.

Photography Rights

I realized that any photos or videos taken of my child and/or artwork during NYSA programs become the property of the New York School of Arts and may be used in printed literature or marketing materials. I am aware there will be no compensation for using said photos or videos.

Conduct

The NYSA reserves the right to refuse admission and to expel any disruptive student.

Cell phone usage is not permitted in the classroom. Cell phones should be set to vibrate in the studios.

Campers will be respectful to each other, the facility, the staff, and the property of others.

Campers must use respectful language at all times.

Campers must follow the teacher’s instructions and guidelines.

Release Agreement

I agree to the fullest extent to be responsible for any medical bills that may incur resulting from illness or injury during my child or my participation at NYSA. I release NYSA from any and all liability and/or claims or damages arising out of personal injury of any kind. I have read and understand the contents of the Registration and Tuition Policy, including the Attendance and Make-Up Policy, the Cancellation Policy, the Student Drop-off and Pick-up, the Photography Rights Policy, as well as the Release Agreement.

Spring Art Camps

Grades: K-1, G2-3

Ages: 5-7, 7-9

NYSA Spring Art Camps focus on exploring each student’s imagination. Students will create and express their ideas through an art piece while building on their existing art skills. Throughout the camp, all students will learn a variety of fun fine arts subjects, craft, mix media, and so on.

Not just painting on the canvas, they will learn that everything can be the art material.

All new fun art projects every day!

Spring Sewing Camps

Grades: G4-8

Ages: 9-14

This Spring Sewing Camp will teach students basic sewing terminology, how to use a sewing machine with supervision, and the basic hand and machine stitches in order to construct some exciting, age-appropriate projects that they can take home and cherish.

Spring Pottery Camps

Grades: G4-8

Ages: 9-14

Our Spring Pottery Camps are designed to provide an immersive and hands-on experience for students who are passionate about pottery. Practice hand-building in a small class with equally enthusiastic peers, try out different surface decorations and experience throwing on a wheel. Campers will gain confidence in a pottery studio, bring home a variety of different projects, and have fun getting a bit muddy along the way.

Spring Digital Art Camps

Grades: G3-6

Ages: 8-12

NYSA Spring Digital Art Camp introduces young students to digital illustration and character design using Procreate on Apple iPads. Guided by experienced instructors, campers will learn the basics of digital painting, from setup to mastering essential tools. By the end, they’ll complete a full character concept and gain confidence in digital art.

Spring Digital Illustration Camp

Grades: G6-11

Ages: 10-16

In our Spring Digital Art Camp, middle school students will dive into the world of digital illustration using Photoshop and Wacom tablets. They’ll learn essential program skills, explore techniques for designing and developing their own characters, and practice drawing a variety of poses and facial expressions. The camp also covers background painting and introduces the basics of digital comics, giving students a complete toolkit to bring their imaginative stories to life.

Spring Intensive Drawing Camp

Grades: G8-11

Ages: 12-16

This 5-day Spring Camp is designed for middle and high school students looking to strengthen their art fundamentals. Through hands-on exercises, demonstrations, and guided critiques, students will practice essential drawing techniques using graphite, charcoal, pastel, and watercolor. Students who finish the camp may advance directly into our Still Life Foundation class, bypassing the first half of the curriculum. From there, they can continue on to the Art Competition Prep Class to further grow their skills and creativity.
