Best Art Program for Creative Thinking and Imagination!

NYSA Summer Art Camps focus on exploring each student’s imagination. Students will create and express their ideas through an art piece while building on their existing art skills. Throughout the camp, all students will learn a variety of fun fine arts subjects, craft, sculpture, collage, mix media, and so on.

Tuition & Fees

Attendance and Make-up Policy

There is NO MAKE-UPS for any camps.
Classes can be canceled due to inclement weather conditions. No make-up camps will be arranged if weather-related cancellations occur.
Any absences cannot be credited, refunded, or rolled over to the next session.

Cancellation Policies

NO Refunds will be provided for any cancellation situation.
NO Transfers are allowed.
Cancellations made 60 days before the camp incur a $25 cancellation fee for each week of the camp, with a 100% CREDIT provided.
Cancellations made 30 days before the camp incur a $50 cancellation fee for each week of the camp, with 100% CREDIT provided.
Please submit the Camp Cancellation Form. Our enrollment department will respond to your request via email.

Transfer Policy

Please note that transfers for summer camps can only be requested up to 30 days before the camp start date. Transfers are not available for one-day, spring, or winter camps.
Summer Camp transfers are subject to availability; space isn't guaranteed.
Change requests must be made up to 30 days before the summer camp program begins.
Fee differences will be charged in full once the request is processed.
Initially, one free summer camp transfer is allowed per family.
Subsequent transfers incur a $15 change processing fee per request.
Overpaid fees result in a credit to your NYSA account.
An email confirmation and receipt (if applicable) will be sent after processing your request.
Complete the Summer Camp Transfer Request Form for transfers.
Separate forms are needed for changes for each child.

Thanksgiving Discount 20%: 11/24
Early Discount 15%: 11/25/2023 - 12/31/2023
Early Discount 10%: 1/1/2024-1/31/2024
Sibling Discount: 5%

Discounts Policy

Early registration discounts apply solely to the camp tuition and do not extend to cover material fees.
Sibling/Multi-Camp Discount: If two or more siblings are enrolled simultaneously in the same camp, the students and/or their families will be granted a tuition discount. One of the siblings and/or family members must pay full tuition: Five (5%) percent tuition discount for the second, third, and additional siblings. The sibling discount rate shall apply to the lesser tuition cost.

Tuition & Fees

Registration and Tuition Policy

Tuition payments can be made by ACH or credit card. No transaction fee for all Electric Check (ACH) payments. 3.5% transaction fee for all credit card payments.
Early registration is highly encouraged to ensure a spot of your choice with early registration discount benefits. Upon reception of your payment, registration will be complete, and your class spot will be reserved.
Each student should submit a completed registration form for each camp. (Sibling students need to fill out separate forms)
Summer Camp allows taking weekly basis registration. NYSA does not offer a daily camp for Spring/Summer Camp. (Except One-Day Camp)
Sibling or friend pair-up requests MUST be conveyed to NYSA immediately after registration. We can only accommodate pairing siblings or friends in the same group if we have received notice in advance.

Photography Rights

I realized that any photos or videos taken of my child and/or artwork during NYSA programs become the property of the New York School of Arts and may be used in printed literature or marketing materials. I am aware there will be no compensation for using said photos or videos.

Conduct

The NYSA reserves the right to refuse admission and to expel any disruptive student.

Cell phone usage is not permitted in the classroom. Cell phones should be set to vibrate in the studios.

Campers will be respectful to each other, the facility, the staff, and the property of others.

Campers must use respectful language at all times.

Campers must follow the teacher’s instructions and guidelines.

Release Agreement

I agree to the fullest extent to be responsible for any medical bills that may incur resulting from illness or injury during my child or my participation at NYSA. I release NYSA from any and all liability and/or claims or damages arising out of personal injury of any kind. I have read and understand the contents of the Registration and Tuition Policy, including the Attendance and Make-Up Policy, the Cancellation Policy, the Student Drop-off and Pick-up, the Photography Rights Policy, as well as the Release Agreement.

Summer Art Camps

Grades: Rising G1-G2, G3-G4, G5-G9

Not just painting on the canvas, they will learn that everything can be the art material.

All new fun art projects every day!

Summer Sewing Camps

Grades: Rising G4-G7

This Sewing Camp will teach students basic sewing terminology, how to use a sewing machine with supervision, and the basic hand and machine stitches in order to construct some exciting, age-appropriate projects that they can take home and cherish.

Summer Pottery Camps

Grades: Rising G4-G7

Our Summer Pottery Camps are designed to provide an immersive and hands-on experience for individuals in G4- G12 who are passionate about pottery. Practice hand-building in a small class with equally enthusiastic peers, try out different surface decorations and experience throwing on a wheel. Campers will gain confidence in a ceramic studio, bring home a variety of different projects, and have fun getting a bit muddy along the way.

Summer Comic Camps

Grades: Rising G4-G8

In this Summer Comic Camp, students will learn the basics of constructing comics. They will create comics with a variety of media to familiarize themselves with different techniques and tools. This class will focus more on basic structures and help the students understand the process. Using tools like references, mannequins, and mirrors, students will make 2 to 6-panel single-page comic strips. This session focuses less on narrative and more on the basic structural side of comics.

Summer Digital Art Camps

Grades: Rising G5-G10

Summer Digital Art Camp is an introduction to digital painting, character design, and sequential art. This camp includes the study of illustration as a visual interpretation of words, concepts, and ideas.

Students learn basic software skills - Adobe Photoshop & Tablet Drawing - while developing drawing abilities in a digital environment.

Summer Digital Animation Camps

Grades: Rising G5-G10

In this camp, student will develop a solid foundation in key animation techniques, such as character design, storyboarding, and digital rendering and also gain experience with Clip Studio Paint software. Student will learn how to bring your ideas to life, from concept to final product, and develop the skills necessary to pursue a career in the animation industry.

Summer Kids Digital Camps

Grades: Rising G2-G5

Kids Digital Art Camp is a class designed to introduce younger students to the new medium of digital illustration, painting, and character design. By the end of the term, students will have used everything they have learned to complete a full character concept and will have learned to draw in a digital environment.
